Bacon Brown Sugar Chicken Tenders

Instructions:

  • Prep the Chicken: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil, and lightly grease with olive oil if desired. Slice each chicken breast lengthwise into 3-4 strips, creating tender-sized pieces.
  • 2. Season the Chicken: In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, Kosher salt, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  • 3. Wrap ’em Up:Lay a strip of bacon flat on a clean surface. Place a chicken tender at one end of the bacon strip and roll the bacon tightly around the chicken until fully enclosed. Repeat with the remaining chicken and bacon.
  • 4. Sugar Coating: Carefully dredge each bacon-wrapped chicken tender in the brown sugar mixture, ensuring it’s well coated on all sides. Gently press the sugar mixture onto the bacon.
  • 5. Bake to Perfection: Arrange the coated chicken tenders in a single layer on your prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each.
  • 6. Cook Smart: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Halfway through baking, you might want to carefully flip the tenders to ensure even crisping.
  • 7. Serve & Devour! Let them cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley if you’re feeling fancy. These are amazing on their own or with your favorite dipping sauce!
